About Me

Hi there. I’m glad you’re here.

I’d love to help your mind become a kinder place to live.

I’m Erin: a licensed clinical social worker - and a mom to 4 - with over 10 years experience supporting adults, kids, and families. I truly love the work I do, and see the work of inner healing as a crucial part of the larger work of healing the world. You can learn more about my story, including what led me to my current work with parents and families, here.

I identify as a White, cisgender female and I use she/her pronouns. I am committed to the lifelong, ongoing work of antiracism and anti-oppression, and continue to engage in both personal and professional reflection about my privilege and how I can better support people of all identities.

Outside of work, you can find me chasing around my 4 kids, swimming laps at the neighborhood pool, getting muddy in the pottery studio, or relaxing with a novel / book of poetry / Netflix.

Why choose to work with me?

My clients say they appreciate that when you work with me, you’re working with a real person. I strive to be compassionate, curious, and authentic in my approach. Therapy can be serious, but it can also be joyful. I hope that our work together will help you feel seen, heard, held, and better able to connect with your core values and what matters most to you in life.

Research is clear that the best predictor of a successful therapy outcome - even more than the specific skillset, approach or training of the therapist - is the fit between the client and the clinician, which is why an essential part of my process is a phone screen, free of charge, to help us figure out if we’re a match. During this call, you’ll have a chance to get to know me better and ask me any questions you might have about my practice and my approach.

 My Story

The intersection of my interests in psychology and spirituality and my commitment to social justice led me to pursue a dual masters degree in social work and pastoral ministry from Boston College. Upon my graduation, I worked for 5 years as part of a trauma team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Boston-area Harvard teaching hospital.

In 2021, after taking a bit of time away from my work to be with my very-young kids during the early days of COVID, I launched my private practice, with an initial focus on supporting young adults who were survivors of sexual violence. As time went on, I realized that the intersection of my expertise in trauma and my lived experience as a parent to small kids was where I most came alive in my work. Although I still work with individuals throughout the lifespan, most of my current clients are new(ish) parents who want to find more joy in parenting, are seeking to heal from a traumatic birth, are learning tools to cope with postpartum depression or anxiety, or are exploring how dynamics from their own family of origin are showing up in their parenting.

I truly love the work I do, and consider it a privilege to accompany people as they seek to cope better with current challenges, heal deep wounds, and live lives of meaning and joy. I strive to bring curiosity, kindness, warmth and authenticity to my work. If you feel like I might be a good fit to support you, I’d love to hear from you.
