Frequently Asked Questions

No! Though the focus of my work and training in recent years has shifted to specialize in this population, I still enjoy working with individuals throughout the lifespan, regardless of whether or not you’re a parent. I also have a particular interest in working with young adults, clients who value spirituality, and folks who have experienced recent traumatic events. If you’re wondering whether or not I’m a good fit to support you, I’d love if you’d reach out so we can chat about what you’re looking for and see whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

The short answer is no - not directly. Unfortunately, insurance companies operate and pay in a way that’s misaligned with my practice values and my capacity for paperwork!
The good news is that depending on your health insurance plan, you may be entitled to reimbursement through OON (“out-of-network”) benefits. To find out about coverage through your plan, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services provided via in-person and telehealth?
What is my yearly deductible? Has it been met?
What is the maximum reimbursement amount for the year?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
How much does my insurance plan reimburse an out-of-network provider for CPT codes 90791, 90837, and 90834?
You are responsible for any payment your insurance does not cover during the session.

As of January 1st, 2025, my fee is $250 for the intake appointment and $225 for follow-up appointments. Appointments are generally 50-55 minutes long.

It’s a great question, and I find that the answer really depends on… you! Some clients are looking for a long-term relationship, and others want to come in, do a concrete and targeted piece of work, and get out. On average, I tend to see most clients for around a year, but I have some I’ve seen for multiple years and others who have accomplished their goals in less than a month.

Absolutely - if you can get to my office in Roslindale Village (on the southwest side of Boston), I’d be thrilled to see you in person. If you’re a new parent, know that your (non-mobile) baby is also welcome to join for our sessions if that’s your preference.

Telehealth is great, too, and for many clients makes accessing therapy a much more viable option than it would be otherwise. My telehealth sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video chat. The only requirement is that you’re in a private place. Due to licensure requirements, clients must be physically in the state of Massachusetts during the time of sessions.

I’m so glad to hear it, and I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me to learn more about my availability and see if our schedules align. From there, the next step is for us to set up a free, no-strings-attached phone call (just 10-15 minutes) to give me a chance to hear more about what you’re looking for and let you ask me any more questions you might have about me or my practice. Research is clear that the fit between the therapist and the client is the best predictor of a successful therapy outcome, so it’s important to me that we get to know each other briefly to assess that before committing to ongoing work together. Assuming it feels like a good fit for both of us after a consult call, we’ll schedule an intake and get to work on your goals!
